Christmas Gift Bags - Last minute idea

Yikes Christmas isn't far away.  If you need a last minute gift idea and plan on giving a gift card try making a cute little bag for it. I love making festive gift bags using my Scrapbooking stash.  I try and make every present look special even if it's just a gift card.

This month I tried using texture paste with my stencils for the first time. I love how it turned out.  I added it to a plain white gift bag.

A quick sticker and some twine to finish it off.

I love this texture and this stencil from Tim Holtz.

Day 9 - soccer in the pouring rain - so not fun.  Nick catching up on our advent calendar since we keep forgetting to do it.

Day 10 - Nick and penguin got in a snowball fight. Mike went to Victoria for work and met up with Grandma and Lauren and they Factimed.

Day 11 - The Grinch caprtured Nick and held him hostage.  Linden got an early Christmas present we wanted to make sure it fit. He has wanted a onesie forever and Mike got him a Panda one.

Christmas Shaker Cards

I was part of a Christmas Card Swap at Scrapbook Nerd last month and I decided I really wanted to make a shaker card.  I used some old Echo Park Paper and created a fun snow scene.

I hand cut the snowmen and trees from the patterned paper and layered them onto the background.  Then I added some chunky clear glitter for the inside of the shaker box.

I used an old favorite stamp for my sentiment and added a little twine - hopefully they love them as much as I do.

Even though the Crate Paper Bundled Up collection is from last year I am still using it for my December Daily and other Christmas projects this year- it's just too cute :)

I made some really quick and easy tags - I cut the tag shapes from the patterned paper and added some fun embellishments to finish them off.  I also added a decorated clothes peg so I can add them to presents.
For the first tag I added a chipboard W to the snowflake and I also cut out the words from the same patterned paper as the tags.

For this tag I added the sentiment from the sticker sheet and a brad.

For the third tag I cut the mittens out and added them to the clothes peg.  The sentiment is from the patterned paper sheet.

For the last tag I added a chipboard star and cut the sentiment from the patterned paper.
These took me no time at all - so fast, easy and super cute.

Mini Snow Globes

I am taking the Heartfelt Christmas Workshop by Wilna Furstenberg and I am loving every minute.  There are so many cute projects and amazing downloads and cut files.

One of her projects were some snow globes and I knew I had to make them.  I used some old MME button jars I had from a few years ago and added some cut out characters and a small bottle brush tree.

I painted the outside of one of the globes with snow paint.  I can't add water to mine as I used paper but they still turned out so cute.

If you are looking for some amazing Christmas inspiration check out Wilna's class here

December Daily Part1

I have been busy working on my December Daily - I have to say it is one of my most favourite things to make!  Here's what I have finished so far.

My inside cover page is a mixture of gold, wood and felt.  I added a shaker pocket and a jingle bell.

Day 1 was the start of the Advent Calendars and the arrival of our Elf Nick.  I decided instead of doing a separate album for Nick this year I would add him into my December Daily.

December 2nd the boys wrote their letters to Santa.

And Nick created a Christmas Tree on the Minecraft game.

December 3rd was still frosty - usually when we have snow it doesn't last at all. Nick made a Lego house with Santa, a tree and he even left Santa some Lego Cookies and Coco.

Another snowflake shaker pocket.

Well so far so good.  Are you doing a December Daily this year?

Happy Holidays!
